Default 96 xplorer 300

Help me please someone. My 96 xplorer 300 has lost all electrical, electric start, headlights, neutral light, 4 wheel drive, the only bright spot is that it will still pull start. I've verified that the battery is good and i have proper voltage reaching the board up front but I'm lost from there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check the main circuit breaker in the sealed pouch located up from the battery. Should have power going in and out on the red wire.If it doesn't slice the pouch open and you can get this breaker at any auto supply house. If the breaker is ok then the problem can be in the left control switch itself or its wiring. You just have to trace its wiring to the terminal board also.

Have already confirmed power on both sides of the breaker and at the board located under the hood. Is the left control switch located behind the oil tank? If it is it has power going in(red wire), but nothing coming out( yellow/red wires).

No this switch and its wiring.Spray the openings with electrical contact spray and work the switches back and forth along with checking connections at the terminal board. Plus check the terminal board itself for any corrosion.

The problem was at the terminal board, the wire that powers the "key on strip" wasn't making good contact. Also the starter is bad. Thank you very much for your help.

Easier to stand these old models on their tail end to remove the starter. Plus it was easier for me(since I had a lift and tools) to pull the clutches to get to the starter bracket. Hard to get that last screw out unless you have very good hands with the clutches on. Plus there are two bolts behind the recoil that mount to the starter.
