Default Scrambler vs Renegade ease of maintenance opinions

Hi all, im an newto this site and was hoping to get some insite regarding the subject.
I am in the process of shopping for a late model sport atv and have narrowed it down to the following:
  • 2014-16 polaris scrambler 850
  • 2014-16 Can am renegade (570 -800)
I beleive the above machines will satisfy my intended use but cannot find anything on line regarding ease of maintenance. I prefer to do my own wrenching and would like to know if any of you could offer your personal insites on this?
Thanks for any and all input, positive and negative.
Cheers and ride your bike!

Just from working on my Outlander 650 and my son's previous Renegade 500 the Can-Am isn't too bad. Son's Scrambler XP1000 is almost identical to the 850. Didn't look too bad but haven't really done much myself with it. If you're halfway decent with a wrench either is not bad.

Being relatively new, there shouldn't be much wrenching for a few years. Oil changes and new brakes would most likely be it. The belt usually lasts for at least 3000 miles or more. Efi eliminates the need to clean or rebuild carbs like on older machines. Unless you abuse the crap out of either of them, both should be pretty reliable and maintenance free.
