Default 7 Digit Serial Number Need help ID-ing.

I need help with an older Polaris model ATV. The ONLY number found was *3204142* All I know is it is a 2 stroke 300, and maybe late 80's.

Can anyone help me figure out exactly what it is?

Thanks!

7 digit numbers like that are usually part numbers, not model numbers. Can you fin a VIN on it?

That is the serial number on the older ones. On the same frame down tube(front side) should be a W96,97,etc followed by 4 other numbers. This denotes model number. If it's been ground down see if you still have the engine sticker on the recoil housing. First two digits is the year model.
