hey all-

Looked death in the face today... I was doing some hill climbing and somehow managed to pop a wheelie on the hillclimb and got stuck on a rock... started rolling BACKWARDS and ....bailed.

The bike landed square on my head and chest and I felt my helmet bend.... I got a concussion- but hey, I'm still alive.

ALWAYS RIDE WITH A HELMET!- this is the 2nd time this helmet saved my bean.

(I used to never ride with helmets) I'm glad I bought one...

I am glad that you will be OK. Might want to consider getting a new helmet as one that has taken a good hit will lose it effectivness.

My friend cut a tree down last year with his helmet, knocked him out cold and broke the helmet but he walked away none the worse for wear. Glad you are ok and where wearing a helmet.

I would 2nd what Kevin said, definitely look into getting a new helmet. Even if it looks ok on the outside.

Glad to see your okay.

I am also in recovery right now. Sunday (easter day) I hit a natural jump out in a field without doing a slow run test on it. The jump wasn't anything big, and the shape of it made it look like a smooth jump. Well I hit it at about 45mph and the jump threw my front end down. My DG bumper hit the ground first then the 400 flipped over on top of me and I slid while the 400 kept doing flips.

I just got home from the hospital today, had surgery to remove a crushed spleen. I also had my helmet on and smacked it pretty hard. That probably saved me.

WEAR YOUR HELMET.

After I wrecked on my Big Red in August and messed up my liver and broke my back, my doctor told me that he never sees any dirt bike injurys but he always sees them on trikes and quads. He told me that if I really have to ride, I should get a bike. Well I guess buying a 300EX soon is going the opposite way of that. Glad to hear you're ok.
