Somewhat normal on the 700/800 and also the 500 to accumulate some oil film in the coolant over time.Even noticed a tad of oil film in the tanks of Sportsman 500s before oil changes. The 700 and 800 did use more oil than most machines. Part of that could be because of the head gasket seeping over time or the fact that some did burn a little oil without any major smoking or no notification. If oil level is low between oil changes, might be time to replace the head gasket. If you're going that far might not be a bad idea to check the piston/rings to cylinder clearance since the engine is almost 16 years old now. Before you go to that extreme check compression and possibly a leak down test. Manual shows 150-200 psi average compression reading.
