I have recently got into the ATV world and have $600 to spend on upgrades for my 2017 Polaris Sportsman 570 sp I’m still not sure what would benefit my experience??

If you live somewhere it snows you might get a plow for that much. If not it's more than enough for a good winch.

If you ride alone like I do, a quality winch should be first addition. Superwinch Terra is a top quality winch.

This was what we installed the most of on new atvs along with brush guards. Any other options that you want you can install as finances improve, more cash becomes available.

When did they start putting 2-ply tires on them? My 500 has 3 star (6-ply) tires and I thought the 570s did too.

ETA: I just checked the Polaris website and they said the 570 comes with 489s. When I checked Carlisle's website they only make those size 489s in 4-ply. And the 570 SP has 26" PXT 6 Ply Radials front and back just like my 500 H.O EFI, except mine are only 12" diameter wheels instead of 14".

I'll agree with buying a winch. A good storage box or bag is always handy too.

My 489 were 2 ply, they made them for Polaris, an OEM tire. The 570 EPS gets them too. The 570SP gets a 6 ply, but they are close to bald, pathetic considering how expensive these atv's are.

I ran mine close go bald, 5,600km/3,500 miles then bought a set of 6 ply Traxion Grippers - what a difference!

I never saw 2-ply 489s before. Carlisle makes 2-ply 489s in 23x7x10 and 26x10x12 according to their website. I don't know about that first one but the second one must be a misprint. The only other 26" 489 I see listed is also 26x10x12 and it's 2* rated (4-ply). I think the 26" 489 listed as 2-ply is actually an 8" wide 2* (4-ply) since it costs a little less than the other one. It wouldn't make sense to make 2 tires the same exact size, one a 2-ply and one a 4-ply, and not make a front tire of the same diameter. But there's no telling what they really are.

I like the 6-ply PXT radials that came on my 500. My friend with a Sportsman 1000 likes his too. Neither one of has had any problems with them yet except when I ran over something that poked a tiny hole in one that took months to go flat. That could happen with any tire so I'm still happy with them.

My 25 8 12 and 25 10 12 489 were 2 ply. Also grossly undersized too. Polaris puts crap tires on them to keep the prices down
