2003 trx 400 ex3 carb overflow continuously

2003 trx 400 ex3 carb overflow continuously
Carb was constantly running gas out of overflow, pulled carb, put new stuff on from kit. Still flowed gas, ran great though. Tried the drain screw removal with the air compressor trick,didn't work. Gets worse as the engine gets warmer / runs longer.
Can the drain screw being over tightened be the cause now?
