Default 08 Polaris 90 Sportsman Blowing Fuses

I have a 2008 90 Polaris Sportsman and my 7.5amp fuse keeps blowing off battery. I noticed my battery was not charging when running atv so i changed my Regulator/Rectifier to a chinese one off ebay. Purchased two different ones to try. When it is Bolted to frame, the fuse melts when i hook up my battery. When i unbolt it from the frame, i can hook the battery up without blowing. When i try to start ATV, the fuse lights up bright and blowes. Like a light bulb.

Any ideas??? Is these Regulator/Rectifiers (Chinese made) prongs don't match my plug off my bike?? When testing the Diodes it seems like they mixed up? When bolted to frame it melts right away when my battery is hooked up. When unbolted, it don't blow till i turn on my ATV and it lights up bright and blows.

What I've heard is some of the aftermarket regulators pins may be different. I'd get the oem regulator and go from there. If it still blows fuses, then sound like you have a direct short you need to track down. If you don't have a manual.http://polaris-atv.brssm.com/2008-Po...ce-Manual.html

Default Fuses blowing

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the OEM part works. It will be a mess to go through all that wiring. Its all tapped up.

Also ordered me a Service Manual. Thanks for that too!!
