2012 polaris sportsman 500 ho bogging down.

After fixing an electrical issue of no dash lights and not being able to start I have a different issue. Now my quad will start just fine and idle fine but when I give it gas either forward or reverse it will bog down or stutter. Occasionally it will run just fine and take off like it's supposed to but almost 3/4 of the time it will bog. Not sure where to start, any suggestions?

May or may not be a problem with the limiter that's built into the speedo, but also may be a little trash in the carb that may be stopping jets up.If you take a carb off might as well rebuild it and be done with it.https://www.ebay.com/itm/SHINDY-03-4...4383.l4275.c10 Also pull the fuel line from the carb and crank the engine over.Should be a steady stream of fuel if the pump is ok.

So It is for sure the limiter. I was never able to fix the elecrical issues right. The first symptom was when I replaced the oem ignition with a cheap Chinese one. It worked great at first but then would be intermittnt and then eventually no dash lights at all and no start. The accessry fuse was blown. I orderd a one ignition and replaced the fuse and still nothing. After testing everything with a volt meter and wire probe we figured out if I spliced two wires out of the 6 in the harness leading to the ignition everyhing would work again. But then my winch would not work. There are two orange accessry wires up by the fuse block and I simply plugged the winch into the other and it worked again. But now this limiter issue. Is there anyway to test it? Or is there a way to overrde it and get rid of it. Also where is a good place to find a wiring diagram? Thanks for the help.

First off I'd check the fuse block for wires pulling out and corrosion on the pins. This was a weak link on all models that had this block. You can get a replacement for about 10 bucks on ebay or even a better water resistant one for 20 bucks.https://www.ebay.com/itm/Namz-Water-...VWzVYz&vxp=mtr This may solve a lot of problems in itself. There are also posts on bypassing the over ride button that may or may not help.https://www.in-depthoutdoors.com/com...eneral_499401/ This place may be still in business that sold kits for this. You could call and see..https://www.quadovator.com/rev_override_lock.html If you need a service manual with wiring diagram..http://polaris-atv.brssm.com/2012-Po...ce-Manual.html
