Default 2005 trx450 not running right

sister just bought a 2005 trx450. I’m trying to get it running right for her. It takes forever to start. You have to kick it for like 15 minutes to get it running and even then it doesn’t run that good. It doesn’t smoke at all and rides quick when you get it going. So far we put a brand new uni air filter on it, replaced the old gas with new, and cleaned the carb. I adjusted the carb and still couldn’t get it to run right. It won’t idle without the choke. What could it be? Valves? Here’s a video of it running:

Yes ,check valve clearance when cold and also check compression since it takes a while to crank. If clearance is ok or you have to adjust but compression is ok,at least around 125psi or so,problem could still be in the fuel supply to the carb or the carb still has issues.Plus if you have to use the choke for it to idle that still sounds like a carb pilot jet stopped up or needle and seat sticking, etc

ok I can check the compression but I don’t know how to check the valves. Is there a video you can link me that will show me step by step?

Go for the carb jets first since you mentioned having to use the choke to keep it running. You show to have a shim under bucket system on the valves. You can check clearance, but if tight or loose you need additional shims for adjustment. This I would let someone do that has the shims on the adjustment procedure if cleaning the jets doesn't help.
