Default 2007 KFX 50 spark issues

I have a KFX 50 it runs great and starts great if the battery is charged. It can be running and if you disconnect the battery it immediately will die. And then you have no spark when the kick start is used. Hook the battery back up and kick it runs great again. I thought it was the stator so replaced it and still the the thing. Any suggestions an what to do other than pack a few good batteries to keep it going.

Is the battery charging while it's running? Should be at least 13+ volts on these little ones. If it just shows battery voltage, 12 volts or less, that'll drain a battery quick. A faulty regulator/rectifier in most cases would be the cause.
