Default 2015 ETX Speedometer/Gauge Problems

I just purchased a 2015 Polaris ETX and the speedometer and gauge cluster does not work. When the key is off there is a slight blue backlight coming from the right side of the cluster. When the key is ‘on’, there is nothing. The analog sppeedometer doesn’t move. The LCD display is blank. None of the warning lights ever illuminate. AWD seems to be working. Any ideas?

Default Update

After sitting in the hot Florida sun for an hour this morning, the Speedo and LCD worked perfectly for a few hours until I hit a large puddle. While the screen was working, some condensation could be seen on the inside of the lense. I obviously have a moisture problem but have no idea how to correct the problem.

I can't tell you where the moisture is getting in, but a lot of people have replaced their expensive speedometers when they didn't work for one reason or another. Check out post #20 by TaterTots on this thread to see what's involved in taking one apart if yours comes apart the same way. They aren't made to come apart so you can fix it, but you can try. You may be able to dry it out and seal it up.

Thanks jumbofrank. I am not convinced the gauge is the problem. Some days it works perfect. Other days it won’t work at all. Gremlins?

With electrical problems anything is possible but you shouldn't be getting any moisture inside the speedometer. It could be causing shorts or corrosion.
