2000 Poloris 335 sportsman rear diff Fill plug?
#1
Hi, This may seem impossible but, its not. I have drained all fluids in my 2000 polaris 335 sportsman. I found front diff fill plug, trans fill (it has has a dip stick)
But I can not find rear diff fill plug. I checked almost every post on line, every u-tube video. All say SHOULD be here or there. NOPE! I called polaris.com. NOPE the person who answered the phone was polite but could not tell me. I went to polaris dealer. NOPE. They checked there computers for 5+ minutes.
Does anyone have a 1999 tru 2000 335 sportsman? Do you have a picture of rear diff fill plug?
I do not believe the 500 sportsman is the same.
Thanks for the help.

My ATP has separate gearcase and rear diff mine takes 2 different fluids
hopefully someone has better answer

Thanks for the response. It almost seems like it could be (1) gear case connected. The dip stick is off the transmission and it is lower in the case?
When I ordered the service kit, It came with separate fluids for transmission and rear Diff. It is almost comical, (unless you are me) that I do not have an answer
for this question from Polaris.
Thanks again.

Yes Sir, I do have owners manual. It is a Universal Owners Safety and Maintenance Manual. It covers multiple engine sizes and Models.
There is a small picture in this Manual. You can not make out anything it is trying to show. You can't tell if it Rt or Lft. and no real picture. More like a stick diagram.
Arrow points at the whole picture.
Factory is supposed to send me a picture? Girl said she could not confirm it is correct but, she would send.

Hey Poleman, That looks like my gear case. We had wondered if it was 1 unit but was led astray as they sell 2-different gear oils, 1 for the transmission and 1- for the rear diff in the kit.
Thank you for the response. If possible, where is this diagram from? What is #33 & #34, it also looks like a drain?

It's the Polaris Parts Catalog. Here's a link.
LOL...you are correct on the drain. I typed in the wrong number. 33 is the drain plug. 34 is the sealing washer.
