Check wiring under the front cover under the center headlight. Cant remember the years but a lot if them had wires that would break in two due to the way the harnesses were built. If nothing, reply back and well get into voltage checks later.

Is there any water in the display? If so, speedo time. Not sure on that year but some units wont have 4wd if the speedo is bad. Do the headlights work still?

Key on, run position on stop switch. Check for 12 volts(batt voltage) on pin 1 and 8, then pins 2 and 8.
pin 1 Orange/white
pin 2 Red/white
pin 8 Brown

If you dont have voltage there-wiring issue.
If you do have voltage there time to replace the speedo.

I tested the wires you said and have 12 volts 1-8 and 11.8 volts 2-8. I guess its time to price speedometers. Thanks for your help.
