I have an '88 bayou 300. A friend recently fly replaced the starter and now has no spark. I checked all wires and found a pinched and broken wire coming off the stator. Do I need to replace the entire stator or can that be soldered back together?

 

Solder it back together, make sure it is well insulated and try the bike again for a spark.
