Needing help reverse rev limit box 1998 sportsman 500
#1
Reverse rev limit box part number 4060205 (no longer available from Polaris) Unit had no spark with the black wire connected. Has varying amounts of continuity from black wire to case ground. The used ones I have located also have continuity. Since this is the wire that kills the machine I feel that it should have no continuity until it calls for rev limit. Can someone verify the resistance of a known good one? Of course the simple answer is to leave it disconnected but I hate bypassing this particular safety feature. Thanks in advance.
