Talking Tire size change question Polaris 700

My rear tire size is 25x11x12. Can I change that out to a 25x10x12? Will it still fit the rim being one inch smaller in width? I see a good deal on some Wanda Tires and to get the 25x11x12 is about 80 bucks more. A smaller rear tire will keep it from slinging the cow poop all over my tree stand too!
Thanks guys for your help.

Since noone else has commented. In all reality it "SHOULD" work. What I see being a problem with is getting the tire to bead. We have fought the correct width tires getting them beaded up when they are "Crushed" from the manufacturer for shipping. They can be a pain. Some go easy, some fight you. I dont see how it could hurt anything if you go that route(other than install problems)

@94harley thank you for replying. The last I got from them were not crushed. But setting the bead is a concern for sure.

A lot of newer Sportsman ATVs came with 10" wide rear tires on them instead of 11" like yours and mine. Polaris probably did it because they're cheaper. I think it will be okay but if you try it let us know for sure. I don't know how well 1/2" less sticking out on each side will keep the cow poop off anything.

Lol I hear ya Big Frank. I am shopping now and have to decide between tires and taxes. Decision decisions, I did put on Mud flaps from Amazon and it helps some. I will update this post when I buy.

First post I've seen where somebody wanted smaller tires.

Yeah 1 inch smaller. Polaris rips you off by having that rear tire the size it is. They actually quit doing that.

That extra inch of width on the rear tires can really cost you. A lot of places don't even make that size and the ones who do charge whatever they want.
