Hello, my 2005 Sportmans 500 HO was dead, none of the electronics worked, no head lights, gauge console, starter-NOTHING! I tested the battery it had 12 Volts but no amps. I replaced the battery and when I installed the new battery the fan runs with the kill switch in the off position and the ignition is also off. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it to start, the starter turns but doesn’t engage. Also the gauge console and headlights don’t work when the key is in the accs or start position. I replaced all the electrical connections about 4 years ago due to corrosion. Wondering if anyone else has had the same problems and what solutions you came up with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Okay thank you. I read on a couple other threads that there is a recall for some of the 2005 ECM. I’m going to check tomorrow to see if my vin number is included in the recall. Stupid question, but what is a bendix and what does it do? Thank again for your help, greatly appreciate it.

I think your right! I called my local dealer today and they said there is a recall on my ECM so I’m dropping the quad off in the morning. Hopefully that fixes the issues. Thank you again for all your help. Greatly appreciated
