2017 Sportsman 570 battery issues
#1
I have a 17 sp570 only 130 miles. I upgraded the original battery because it would sometimes give me problems starting. (Crank slow then click) as if the battery was dead. I have had a battery tender hooked up since new.
Same issues with this battery, it has always been plugged into tender when not being used. It is getting worse also. I loaded quad onto my truck and drove 3 hrs, unloaded and then 30 min later it wouldn't start. Acts like the battery is low and slowly cranks then clicks. If I rock the key on/off fast, I can sometimes get it to start. Otherwise I have to jump it. Then it will be fine the rest of the day when riding. I tried starting it yesterday and it wouldn't start. Battery tender hooked up as well.
To sum it up, I rarely use the quad and I bought a new one so that I didnt have these issues. Has anyone had s similar problem? I'm under warranty for another 8 months but I dont believe it is a charging issue with the machine, because it will start after riding it all day with multiple stops.

We are having the SAME issues with our Polaris. Same model and year as yours. We’ve had it back to the dealer two times at least and they can’t find what the issue is. We’ve gone through so many batteries. Only 200 miles on it because it’s always dead.

Yeah usually i buy the cheap lead acid batteries and they never last. This year i bought hopefully good agm batteries paid almost $180 for mine alone!

Hopefully that will give you better service, I never got more than 2 yrs from the cheap lead acid batteries. Have had 2 agm that have lasted 5 yrs and they were not that expensive. Mine are called "deep cycle" wheel chair batteries but the same size as a motorcycle battery, mine are 7" long x 3" in width and cost less than 100 each. Fully sealed, and never an issue with either. 12v x 18mah deep cycle wheel chair batteries.

Mine is a Interstate battery. 12v,32ah,500 cca.
The little one for the other ride is 12v,12ah,210cca
Paid enough they better last a few years! Figured i will be out in the middle of nowhere and i don't want battery problems.

I don’t think it’s a battery issue. We’ve gone through several batteries. We tried starting it today around 12:30 pm. Wouldn’t start. Tried to turn it over 3 or 4 times. Left for several hours. Just came home and tried it again and it started. We had it into one dealer, they said...these just do that sometimes. Umm. They shouldn’t. Another dealer can’t find anything wrong with it. Or they’ve replaced a pet here and there but it doesn’t get any better once we get it home. Sucks we have this like new machine that we’re paying for but can barley use it.
