kawasaki head gasket leak

Default kawasaki head gasket leak

hey guys just joined the community today and was looking to see if anyone had any suggestions about my wheeler its a 2000 kawasaki lakota 300 and a friend and i replaced the head gasket on it got the thing back together and it leaks oil on the right side any ideas it first came out a lot and now its starting to slow down but not quite stop thanks -travis

Can you post a photo of the area that is leaking?

Just checked the manual and there are O rings as well as the head gasket between head and cylinder. I would guess you have missed fitting one.

thank you do you have the manual in a book or did you find it online?

Bought a CD version from eBay, thought I was getting the KLF300, but most of the engine is the same as the Lakota anyway.

merryman thank you had another buddy look at it and going to get a new gasket because the one thats on it now is soaked up with oil and some gasket maker to seal it up

thank you bill hilly went and had a bud look at it and just going to re do the head new gasket and all just this friend has a lot more expierence than the other
