Hello I'm new to this forum. I have a 2005 Polaris sportsman 700 twin, I was having shifting problems so I pulled the cover off and there was alot of rust and crap in there so I took it all apart cleaned the gears and put it back together and tried it and was still very hard to shift, so I took it apart again and one of the gears had broken teeth. I replaced the whole assembly and it still shifts very hard and I have no neutral or park now. I'm wondering if the problem could be a bad belt? It shifts ok not great when not running but park or neutral .....
