Hi All,
The composite racks on my 1995 Xplorer are very faded. Can these be effectively painted or covered with bed liner? I don't want to do something and have it just scrape off easily.
Also, does anyone know what kind of material these racks are made of? Are they plastic? Fiberglass? What the heck are they?
I've attached a pic of a new rack just as a refresher for those who are not familiar with the older Polaris atvs.
Dont know about Polaris, but my old Kawasaki Praire were fiberglass infused plastic, very tough, I used tire black on them to make them look good. Laated for a few washes then had to recoat.
It's good stuff. I've pressure washed that machine a few times now, no damage.
I also did all the plastics on my old truck years ago. No fade, and it was very durable.
