Default Hey, guys. New here, and i need some advice.

My 1986 Bayou 300B lost spark. Not all of a sudden, it just started running like crap. Put new coil and battery in it. New piston& rings. New carb. New plug. Fresh fuel. Then i noticed it was only sparking like once every 5 times the motor turned over. Intermittent at best. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, i would greatly appreciate the help. About the only thing i haven't messed with is the igniter and magneto.

Make sure you have good positives at igniter and coil. Make sure you have a good negative at igniter. The pulse wires should produce a small AC voltage (black/white and blue wires) when the engine is spun with the starter. If all that is good, I would change the igniter, cheao Chinese ones are available, though the 86 KLF300 is a bit different to all others, so I'm not certain the igniter is the same, the alternator and pulse coil is different.

Thanks, brother. Im terrible with wiring. I had no idea what the problem was. I'll get back to you and let you know if that was the issue. I appreciate your time.
