Hey guys, i got an 01 Sportsman 500 H.O that is burning oil/smoking like a 2 stroke...

Im planning on rebuilding the top end, and im tore on what piston to use. I dont wanna spend what they want for an OEM piston.

Im deciding between a namura and a weisco. Ive heard weiscos can "cold seize" but most ive read about have been 2 stroke dirtbikes and things, not 4 stroke midsize quads.

But then i read about the namura bending and shattering skirts, etc.

This is just a stock rebuild on a quad that rides trails and will (eventually) push snow.
