Atv had been sitting a while had bad gas in it.
would not run up to this point I have put a carburetor on it , drained all gas and replaced the spark plug and now when you turn the key on and use the pull starter it will start and idle but will cut off when throttle is applied it will not restart until you turn the key switch off and then back on like it is resetting something The battery is dead but it is hooked to a battery charger getting 12 V. Could that be what is causing it to cut off? I didn’t want to spend the money on a battery if I cannot get it running if that makes sense

 

is the charging system working? not sure if the battery charger would be a replacement if not charging as it would need a 12+ volt to keep running. just a thought.

 

ok installed new battery and that seemed to do the trick thanks for the help
