raptor air box lid
#1
Who is running their Raptor with the lid off? What jetting are you at with a aftermarket pipe? I want to get the Outterwears air box lid that velcros on. I have the dyno-jet kit now and I ordered more jets from them all the way up to 180. I would like to know where you guys are . With the pipe the dynojet kit has me with new needles and 148 left carb 150 right carb. Also does any one know how I can get a K&N filter. I have the Pro-Flow billet plate in my airbox now.

My altitude is pretty low, I live in LA (think its less than 1000ft) Cars, Streetbikes, quads, ect all run a lot harder down here.I have taken my cars and quads up north and they feel slower than Christmas due to the thinner air.I picked up about 4-5 mph on my Raptor with exhaust, filter, and jetting. It pulls a lot harder throught the gears and pulls stronger down low, so strong in fact that it is almost impossiable to keep the front down with the stock sprocket (I run a 14 tooth front) Good exhaust and the correct jetting will definetely make a world of difference.

Have you ran yours with the lid on after you got your exhaust or have you always had the lid off? I have my lid on and it was no faster than a stock one although we were in sand that might have made a difference
