Question for those who have a warn winch
#2
Mine is brand new and dealer installed AND IT &*#@!$% sucks!!! In any water at all and it won't work..PERIOD!! Got stuck once and when Ineeded it...the useless thing wouldn't work. Took over 30 minutes for it to dry enough to start working again. I'm sorry I didn't go with the much cheaper superwinch. Think I have to take the damn thing off and maybe re-install it myself to make sure it's hooked up right. Right now it's a $600 useless paper weight

I have a warn winch on my wolverine.About a month ago I got stuck in the snow, tried to use my winch after spooling out and nothing.I had to shovel myself out and drive home with the cable in my hand.So happened it was the solenoid so I bypassed it now it works perfect.I know of many others in my area who have done the same with no problems

I have a '00 Polaris Magnum 325 4x4. I've winched myself out of 6 feet of swampwater without any problems. I know that this is not good, and I don't try to make it a common practice, but it has bailed me out when I needed it. I've also had the thing completely submerged in mud, and it still performed flawlessly. I always unwind the cable after each use, because no matter how reliable, no winch is worth .02 cents with a tangled cable....
