Polaris 90cc bad compression
#1
Please help me out.
i bought a non running 90cc xtreme machine thinking It would be an easy fix. It’s basically the same bike/motor. I’ve changed out the top end but was still getting around 50-55psi. I’ve changed out the left side crank seal. (Did not use gasket sealer when installing) is that an issue? Anyways, now it’s getting 75psi. Now I’m trying to get the right side seal replaced. Was that seal supposed to be changed whenever the cylinder and piston were being replaced? The bike runs only when I hold my fingers over the carb and adjust air for with my fingers. When I throttle it bogs. I’ve cleaned carb and reeds. It will run wide open if I play with the throttle by pumping it a couple times, then when it gets over the bog it finally revs like normal.

Hi I'm having similar problem I haven't try covering carb with fingers it won't start only when I flooded with starting fluid
so far compression is really low 50psi
So I installed
new oem cylinder
Piston
rings
New gaskets base and head
Check reeds
New exhaust gasket
and still 50 psi
wont start and when it does bogs down until dies
i check the right side crank seal by a leak down tester no leak there
what should I do next
I'm losing my head here please help
Thanks in advance
