Default Honda oem rims or new set?

I think I want to buy new tires for my 04 450ES. They are getting old and not holding air so much anymore.
Are the oem rims built better than the new rims sold on the market like ITP rims? The set I have now are in good shape. I guess I would powder coat them. All that takes time and carting the rims to get the tires off, powder coat, pick up, put new tires on etc....
I found a set of 4 new tires and rims (one size bigger) on EBay all set to install for about $700. shipped.
For the heck of it, I put a quick ad on CList selling my old tires and rims for $200. and got 2 responses right away so there must be some value in these oem's.

What would you do.....Any input welcome....

If the oem rms are in good shape, why replace them unless gou want some fancier wheels. Evwn the cheapest wheels are gonna be 250 plus dollars for 4. If the sealing edge of the rim is good, then spray paint will work well without all the powder coating work. I have never been impressed with powder coating when used outdoors. After a couple years still needs to be touched up with spray paint!!

If they're not all dented and beat up, why replace them? Most aftermarket wheels are a lot heavier too so the extra weight will eat a little bit of your power as well. I'd just buy a few cans of cheap spray paint and give the old wheels a facelift. For about $5, you could make them look a lot better if that's what you're after. It will eventually chip and peel off in couple of years but spend another $5 to do it again when that happens.

Finally, decided to do something and replaced my oem tires and rims with a set of 26x9-12 and 26x10-12 TriloBite HD 8-Ply tires with some ITP steel wheels.
I stuck my old oem set of tires and rims on craigslist and got $300. for them. So I'm at around $350. for the new set. Not too bad.
I see the better looking wheels are easily $50. more each. I was set to buy some ITP ss212's -

but decided to just get the silver steel wheels and save some cash. Getting delivered in a couple days. Can't wait!
