04 predator. Not charging and dies when I turn lights on . Had a couple wires in bad shape. So cleaned up all ground connects. Fixed any crappy connections. Changed both 20a fuses . . First problem started at the on/off. Start. Hi/lo switch replaced it with new oem. Can start it by crossing soloniod. No power to start switch and dies when lights turn on.

 

Is the solenoid clicking when you try to start it ?

 

Yes it clicks when I test it it was the same as the one I took off had to change the pig tail. I have power going to it I can get it started with booster pack and jumping the soloniod. But if I hit the lights it dies..

 

Would a bad battery cause this

 

I put new stator and rectifier and a new cdi box. But coming off the rectifier there's two plugs one with 3 yellow to the stator. But pre owned and last Owner chopped plug off that the 2 red and the 2 black go to is there any spot 2 splice them into

 

The black and red can go right to the battery if you can't find where they go on the harness . red - positive , black - negative
