I have a 90 Baja wilderness.
it starts up real nice and easy. It goes but at about half power. When throttling it bogs and sputters , wanting to go but seems like something is restricting.
I cleaned the carb and checked air filter and plug.
many other ideas what might be going?

 

Fit a new plug. If that doesn't cure it, then it probably still is a carb problem but you could check compression. However low compression usually gives bad starting and not bogging. Two strokes with clogged exhausts give the symptoms you describe but I think the Baja is a four stroke.

 

i decided to replace carb and plug. It’s coming today. I hope it solves the problem. However I have heard of the cdi having some sort of problem that would cause symptoms as such
