I was going to change the front gearcase fluid on my 2013 Sportsman 550. Inserted hex socket in fill plug. It was so tight that I ended up rounding out the hole for the socket before the plug loosend. Anybody have any tricks to get my stripped out plug out? Tricks to avoid doing this on the other plugs? Good thing I tried the fill plug first. At least I still have a gearcase full of oil! Seems like a plug with an old fashioned hex head would be a better idea. Or a steel plug instead of an aluminum plug.
