2001 Trailblzaer 250 Sticky Residue on Cylinder
#1
Good afternoon,
I have a 2001 Polaris Trailblazer 250. I'm doing a top end on it and I noticed that the piston and cylinder have a slightly sticky residue on them. I'll be honing and replacing the piston, BUT I was wondering if this is what contributed to my crappy compression in the first place? Is it my oil? My oil fuel injection system is still functioning correctly. I have also been using the fancy Polaris VES 2stroke oil in it, it's whole life. I have 2 of these machines and the other top end wasn't "sticky" when I did it last. My buddie told me to start using Klotz oil. Could my oil be too old? Is the Polaris oil garbage? Or am I missing something obvious?
Thank you in advance for your time.
