I’m working on a Magnum 500 that a friend of mine asked me to see if I can get going for him, it’s been sitting up for a while the last time they rode it they parked it for a while then went to go riding again and would turn over but no spark, my friend purchased an ignition coil for it and still no spark, recently he purchased a new CDI, starter solenoid and pulse coil for it and asked me to install them along with a new battery, I installed all those items for him and still no spark, any help with ohms testing or anything else that I should look at please let me know, thank you in advance for any help.

 

The first thing to get is the workshop manual. You then do the circuit tests it outlines, usually at the CDI plug, to pin point which component, or the wiring from it, is faulty.
