Default 1986 Kawasaki bayou 300 2x4 electric start won’t work

The electric start on my bayou 300 won’t work. When I press the start button it does nothing but the kill switch and lights still work. There is no clicking at the solenoid or any noise at all. Where should I look? And yes the batter is charged

The KLF300 has two solenoids and the starter lockout system is not easy to work out without the wiring diagram. Try switching the ignition on and changing into and 1st then back into neutral. You should hear the secondary solenoid click as you change gear. If it doesn't, that would indicate a fault in the lock out system or that solenoid (under battery box on later Bayous) If it does click, either wiring between solenoids, start button itself, or primary solenoid will be at fault, so check those out with a test lamp.

The solenoid under the battery box is new. Also the electric start will work if I jump the solenoid.

"The solenoid under the battery box is new" The question was does it work? If it clicks when you put the bike into and out of neutral, the lock-out circuit is OK. That leaves the start button, main solenoid, or wires to them, and the one between the solenoids.
