93 fourtrax 300 2wd grinds when I shift down past neatural on accident, and when I'm going into reverse...when I put my hand on the opposite side cover I can feel it where I'm pointing....any ideas

You were pointing at the oil filter, that will not be where the grinding noise comes from. There are three clutches in the case behind it though, it would appear that at least two of them are not working. Though, in that case, one would expect the same grinding when you go into first. Incidentally you can't change into reverse by accident as you have to press the red button on the LH brake lever, then pull that brake on before you can get reverse, unless someone has bodged the mechanism. Drop the idle speed a bit in case it is just set too high for the centrifugal clutch to "drop out" and adjust the multiplate clutch, there should be instructions on U tube, or get the workshop manual. The third clutch, a one way clutch behind the centrifugal, can be put in backwards but would then disconnect the kickstart from turning the engine over.
