I just recently bought this and it was running fine. The kiddo lost the key and I had to change out the ignition. Once I replaced the ignition it turns over but will not start. I have cleaned the carb, changed the spark plug and still the same thing. Any suggestion helps as I have a 7 year old who is getting pissed he can't ride his Christmas present. TIA

 

Check for a spark. All AC CDI ignition systems use an earthed kill system, like a magneto, as the ignition does not depend on power from the ignition switch. So, ignition switches have two separate switches inside, one turns on the power for starter, lights, etc, the other earths the CDI. Some are earth to kill, some earth to run, get the wrong switch for your CDI and it won't spark. Another possibility is you have pulled a wire off somewhere else when fitting the new switch.
