Default 01 Polaris trailblazer no start no sound

Hi everyone. So I have this 2001 polaris trailblazer. When I turn the key, there’s no sound no crank nothing. It will start with a pull cord. The battery is good. I believe its solenoid is good. I’m thinking it’s the ignition switch. Possibly the starter.

What do you guys think? Thank you.!!

Why do you believe the solenoid is good? I don't know your machine but if the solenoid doesn't click it is either a faulty solenoid or the wiring to it. Can be the start button, can be one of the lock-out devices. First thing is to check if you are getting 12v at the thin wires on solenoid with ignition on and start button pressed. If not, check if it is the pos or neg wire that isn't working. Follow the faulty wire back to find the fault. Pos wire goes to start button and then to ignition switch, possibly via a fuse. It can also go through lock outs. Neg wire goes to neg side of battery and also could go through lock-outs in between. If you do get 12v to solenoid on thin wires, but it doesn't click, faulty solenoid. Incandescent test lamps are better than meters for this as they indicate power, not just volts.

Tell us how, so others having the same trouble can fix their machines.

It’s kind of embarrassing and very humbling. lol. Buuut…. Turn the key on. Then on the handlebar switch move the red switch to the middle position which I believe is run then push up and that switch!!! The top switches which are gray are for the lights. Yellow button is for reverse override. I hope this helps someone else.!!

On the bright side, at least you weren't pushing your motorcycle a mile down the road trying to get it to start before you looked at the handlebars and saw that.
