There is some guy wanting to race me.I have never met the guy.It is some kid I barely knows neighbor. The dude has a LT250r that is setup for flattrack.I have heard about this bike before and it is supposed to be quick. He said the only way we will race is if I put up a grand or my title.

What A joke.Hehe.I am not going to race the goofball.I don't think I will have to see his bike.

Send him my way. I could use the extra grand for a downpayment on a new CRF450R.

Birdofprey, I here what your saying an extra $1000 would be nice and I could make a drag quad in about 1 week if this guy was serious. It just so happens that my buddy has a zx11 motor that he just bought as a spare for his sprint car and he was thinking about throwing it in a quad frame untill he needs it.

All ya and I to am awaiting to see the new Honda 450! It sounds good but I am not a big fan of the AL frames this is way I sold my 00cr250 and went with a new kx which is now gone and I finally am at home on my YZ. I like RM's and they pay the best $$$ at the track but the resale stinks. I had a yzf400 was nice but a little on the heavy side but the new 450 at 225lbs sounds good I keep giving the 4strokes a try but I always end up back on a 2stroke so who knows we'll see how the new frame design is and hopefully it wont be to rigid and vibrate with the thumper in it.

Ugly,

What made you get rid of your CR? If you had to pick between keeping your YZ or your R, which would it be?

I think you are afraid of losing your 250r.

BirdofPrey, I didnt like the CR at all vibrates a little to much, the plastic (rad shrouds) wore grooves in the AL frame, and the kickstarter rubbed on frame after the bike was about 1 month old. The AL seems to me to be to soft and it wears in places that it shouldnt. Motor wise the CR was nice good power and smooth. Suspension was bad stock as well. If I had to choose between my YZ or my 250R it wouldnt be a hard decision for me at all! I would choose my YZ FOR SURE or any bike. I like my bike alot better than the quad and would never give up my bike for the quad (couch)hehe. I've rode/raced bikes for years and its alot more fun to me than the quad is. I do have fun going out HIll Climbing some really steep hills on my quad though but as far as overall the bike I feel is alot better.

Not to knock the honda, but if all you have is a pipe, reeds and new bore. The Lt with engine mods might beat you. But never haveing seen the quad run,I wouldn't run unless I knew my ride was like a flash.

Well pud jumper U are right. My bike is pretty fast.(will run with a piped shee)My cousin told me about this bike a while ago and he said it is crazy fast. The dude that has it is kinda a jerk though. The kid that told me about it said it is super quick to.

Plus with a grand I could get a new lonestar swingarm and steering stem.If I lost my bike I would go crazy!

My bike is ported also by a local performance machine shop.It is not ported for drag racing though.low-mid range.I will race him but not for a grand or my title.I am not afraid of hurting my pride just losing my bike!
