I think personaly that the Blater sucks and that the 250EX rules over the Blaster.

I have both sitting in my garage right now and in my opinion the 250EX is a much nicer machine than the Blaster.

Why are you comparing a blaster and a 250ex? Especially in a Honda Forum. This is about as dumb as a 300ex vs. a CR125 in speed. The blaster is a nice 4-wheeler. I've been a Honda Fan all my life, but the blaster isn't just a different look of a same 4-wheeler engine. All the 250ex is is a little bit bigger recon engine in a sporty chassis with sporty plastic. The blaster is a engine of its on. It wasn't copied or anything. Honda needs to step it up and make different engines instead of taking engines out of other 4-wheelers and dirtbikes and sticking them in a sporty 4-wheeler chassis. Although I would love to see a CRF450 engine in a 4-wheeler! But my point is, they need to quit being lazy and come up with a different engine, not a different look.

What are you talking about "stop sticking dirtbike engines in a quad chassis" ???. Plenty of great machines were born that way. For example, where o where did Yamaha get the Raptor engine from. Oh thats right, it came from there motorcycles. Oh, and where did Bombardier get the DS 650 from. Thats right, it came from a motorcycle. Where did Polaris get their Sportsman HO. Once again from a Scrambler. And once again, where did Honda get their engine for the 400 EX, you guessed it, it came from their XR 400. SO I don't think companies that share engines within their product line is such a bad thing. Look at all the good that has come out of it. Plus, where do you think Honda is going to get their new Sportrax bike from. It is going to come out of either their XR 650 or 600 R or their new CRF450R.

Oh and about the issue of the Blaster and 250 EX. I would personally go with the Honda. It is a lot easier to ride with that auto clutch and smooth power band. As with the Blaster has a manual clutch and a blunt powerband. Plus the 250 is a four stroke which is much easier to maintain.

RRR
Brand new 300 EX on the way. Just ordered it and now waiting for it to come in in June! (the new yellow 300EX too!)

And Im gonna guess none of you tried a blaster before buying your 250ex?.. Its like talking apples and oranges.. 200cc 2-Stroke manual 6-speed VS. 250cc 4-stroke Automatic clutch 5 speed. I think its funny that everybody disses on blaster's reliability, obviously they have never owned one... if they did it must have been a basketcase or something, if kept up they are EXTREMELY reliable... The 250ex is nice, but I think it would get old fast.. Its basically a recon.. Or "utility", whereas the blaster is pure sport machine.. Deny it but its true.

The Blaster engine is based on a DT dirtbike engine. Minus the liquid cooling.

The Blaster has a higher top speed and quicker acceleration. It is WAY more mod-able. They are somewhat less reliable though.

The 250EX will probably never break down, and has better brakes.

My wife has both, so I do have some experience with both quads.
