I was just looking thru the tech connection on old questions and I found how to disconnect my rev limiter. I tried it and it works great. You just unplug the white wire from the harness on the left side under the seat in front of the battery and take a wire and stick it inside the disconnected white harness and ground it. As soon as I get a toggle switch I'm going to wire it so I can turn it on and off. Anyone else tried this?

it definately works, i tried it a while ago. I put it back to stock because i like to really rev my motor alot and didnt want to risk over reving it without the limiter working.

As far as I know it would be the same for the x. I put mine back too since I don't have aftermarket valve springs. It really gives you more power if you have an aftermarket exhaust. It flies in reverse now. The only thing is that when you are in reverse the neutral light stays on. I'll update you guys later on how the switch works when I do it.

Yep I forgot about the x having a kickstart. Even tho it doesn't have a battery I still think the wire is there somewhere. Take the seat and rear fenders off. Look at the 2 wires coming out of the right sidecase. They should be light green and white. Follow the white up until the harness the do the same as I said in the 1st post.

Default 300ex rev limiter bypass works great!

Which white wire??? On mine there seems to be two single white wires going towards the battery. Which one needs to be unplugged????
