I have the complete Big Gun system and really like the header but would like to try a different silencer. Can I do this? If so what silencers do I have to choose from? I like the Big Gun silencer but it's a bit loud and I would like a bit more power on the top end instead of all on the low and midrange.

 

You not going to see much improvement on the top end for the sacrifice you will give up down low and mid. I tried a Grayadon and my brother has the DMC. Though these two rev a LITTLE higher, they sacrifice to much down low. A Pro Circut might work and Quad fever on Redwood road in West Jordan has one in stock. All aftermarket exhausts are loud. The price you pay for performance!

 

I put the GYTR silencer with the Big Gun headder and it rips. The only problem is both of the mating ends are the same size. Just took the silencer to a muffler shop and they spledged (opened) the end for nothing and it took a minute.

I too have the full Big Gun pipe, and was concerned that sooner or later I would need to quiet it down some. I just bought the replacement Big Gun 'Quiet Series" internal silencer/baffle thing. I have not tried it yet, but the guy at Big Gun said it would slip in right in place of the race series one without a problem.
Has anyone else done this swap? And was there a big difference in power & noise level?

Wrestling around 200lbs is a whole lot easier than 400lbs. I would rather ride the dirtbikes.
