Hello Im interested in buying a 93 400 bayou and have been warned about that particular year and model having crankshaft and other internal problems.I'm looking for advice from past or present owners or kawasaki service people.If i could get some advice Iwould truly appreciate it.Thanks in advance.borts

 

I have a friend who owns a '98 model that has been very reliable, despite abuse at the hands of his brother. It is my understaning the entire Bayou line has changed very little since first being introduced so I wonder about the nature of the problems you mention. It could be the materials that were used during that year's production run.

 

That was the first year they came out, but I have never heard anything bad about them.
