I want to know who has changed their clutch in their Raptor? What brand did you buy and where did you get it? Also is their anything tricky about changing it?

Thanks

Is it the same as a Banshee clutch kit? I am thinking about upgrading to a Hinson billet basket and H/D springs, for durability. Anyone done this?

Well.. I can tell you this for sure.. the raptor clutch is way different than a banshee.

A: 5 clutch springs raptor versus 6 on the shee.

Then looking on www.troy-racing.com

Banshee:
PLATE, FRICTION Qty: 7
PLATE, CLUTCH Qty: 6

Raptor:
PLATE, FRICTION Qty: 6
PLATE, CLUTCH Qty: 7
PLATE, FRICTION 2 Qty: 2

So the Raptor is a 7 clutch plate total, the shee is only 6.

So less springs, more plates. Easier to pull, but yet more effective. Makes sense from what I've noticed from owning both quads..

Brad

I know the quantity of plates are different, but I'm refering to the diameter, thickness of plates, and number of "ears". Exclusive of the other differences, are they the same friction and steel plates that the Banshee uses?

The number of "ears" on both are the same. The steel plates on the Banshee are slightly narrower at the "ears" than on the Raptor.
