What is the best airbox set up so that no water is taken in? Block off the snorkle and run a whole in the lid. Cut snorkle and run solid lid? What is the best way to prevent water from splashing/entering in and still getting enough air flow? It sucks when you have a approx 1/2 mile lead and then water cuts motor out!

Probably the stock airbox and snorkle, with the stock lid, with no holes, and a K&N filter with a water repelant outerwear cover.

I have found no single best setup. I run no lid, snorkle blocked off, and an outerwears air box cover (not a filter cover) when I am riding the track and water is not an issue. On the rare occasions I go on a wet trail ride with water crossings, I reinstall the snorkle and air box lid and re-jet.

Probably not much help to you but that is what I do.
