Ok I am wanting to know which of these two Quads I should get? I either want the Honda Rancher 2x4 ES or the 2002 Honda 400ex. I am 16 years old and I am trying to get a job so I can pay for the ATV. I will ride mainly trails and dirt roads and have no use for pulling things around and I don't go hunting so I don't need racks or anything. I think that the 2002 Honda 400ex would be my best choice for what I will be doing. Also I was wondering if the HOnda 400ex is as reliable as my uncle's 1992 Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4(BLUE)? I will most likely keep my 400ex stock unless it is just way under powered. So do you guys think that the 400ex would be my best choice? Thanks Matt

 

Hey 400ex2001 those are both good choices and I'm sure you would be happy with either one. But seeing how you are not going to haul anything, and you don't hunt, and will not be needing racks and if it's speed your looking for then I would say the 400ex would be your best choice. yes it is very reliable and I'm sure you won't find it under powered I'v had mine for two years now and it still puts a grin on my face every time I crack that throttle[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

i know people with both of those machines, and they are both hondas so they will definitly be reliable. If money is an issue get the rancher. But its pointless i think to get the rancher because you wont need any of the options(tow hitch etc.). But i think the 400ex is the better choice.

 

Hey thanks for your replies guys. Also by the way do any of you know when the Dealers are supposed to get in the 2002 Honda 400ex? ON Honda's website it says that the 2002 400ex is avaliable in JUNE and I just talked to my local dealer and he said that they did not have them in yet. So by any chance to any of you know? All the companies usually say earlier then the dealers actually get them. But the 2002 models should be in all dealers around late july-august, thats an educated guess(thats around the time they got them in last year.)

 

if you want power get a BANSHEE!!!!!! they will eat up the little underpowered 400ex!!!

anyways... my dealer already has the 2002 400EX's in. No change except for graphics. Your local dealer should have them soon if not already.
