to anyone who has flipped their rear linkage

i did it today and all i can say is wow. however on the top of the rear linkage are there supposed to be a washer on both sides of the linkage? please view this picture and check it out. i only had one on it before and after i did the mod.

yes there are 2 washers.the larger washer goes on the bolt,then slide the bolt thru the linkage and then put the smaller washer on the other side and the nut is last. I had to look at it too to make sure i did it right because the washers are different sizes on each bolt.

i am talking about the washers in between the arm and swingarm. are there supposed to be a washer in between on both sides of it? i cant get the damn pic to upload to zing. i got a pic that shows right where.

there no washers in between the arm and the linkage.its does have play in it. once you put eveything
back together and tight it shouldnt move to much

what does flipping it do? and can this be done on any bike?

Martin from Elka says flipping the linkage will wear out your rear shock prematurely. I have my linkage flipped. I love it. it's free and my raptor handles much better. My new elka front shocks are being shipped today and i will probably purchase the rear if i am pleased (Modified for the flipped linkage of course).

you mention "elka" in your reply.... What or who is elka? I havn't heard this name before. Do they have a website or ?

could you explain more in detail as to how that could wear out the shock? it doesnt seem to affect suspension travel but it does make the quad handle much much better. it should have come stock with that ride height.
