Ive narrowed it down to 3 quads;300EX,250EX,and Mojave 250.Which one is the best for speed and jumping? Also light towing(bout 50-75lbs.-camping gear).

Forget about the 250EX. Lets compare the 300 to the mojave. Top speed, 300 approx. 45.42, Mojave 54.2 . I believe the mojave has taller gears and it likes to be reved. So far i have spent just under $400 in aftermarket parts and i'll bet i can smoke a 300. The 300 has softer suspension and electric start. I can start my mojave with no more than 2 kicks. You can also get an electric start kit for the mojave for about $400. I believe you can get a rear rack for the mojave witch would be better than towing. I was thinking on making a removeable rack for mine. Best of all the mojave is $700 cheaper. Dollar for dollar i think the mojave wins.

Don't try to tell me my ex only goes 45 mph. That is BS! It may not outrun a mojave in a dragrace, but its damn close. It will certanly outhandle a mojave in the woods tho.

I'm only quoting what i read in an atv buyers guide that rated 16 sport quads. The speeds were taken using a radar. The 300 will take the mojave off the line and the mojave will have to catch up. In racing there are alot more factors involved like rider weight and skill level. As for the handling the 300 is a little better but that also depends on the rider. Both machines got a great score on handling.

The 300EX by far. The Mojave may be faster but not by 11mph. LOL!! I would say maybe 1 0r 2 mph. But that is where the Mojave falls off. The 300EX is by far way more superior in every other catagorie.

mojave is better in most catorgories. More speed, jumps just as good, handles better(slides easier),liquid cooled, dohc, better reverse, round tube frame(square tube on 300 sucks), cost less, looks better once you remove the mud flaps and stuff

300ex has electric start(no backup, be careful not to let battery go out when deep in the woods) and has a little more plush feel.

I have riden both quads a good bit and the mojave is simply more fun to ride. My two riding buddies with 300 ex's are always wanting to swap when we go riding so they can ride my mojave. I ride their 300s then and they are good, but i like the mojo better.

I suggest you ride each and don't listen to me or anyone else or any dealer salesman. after riding make your choice, either one will give good service.
