I have heard enough about all the problems, I am starting to have nightmares. My Raptor has about 50 Hrs on it and hasn't had any problems yet.

I have about 60 hours and have NOT had any major problems. The raptor is a well made 4 stroke quad with tons of power.I think alot of people have sold
their 2 strokes and now are trying to ride the raptor like a 2 stroke. Its
not designed to be ridden like a banshee. That would explain some of the clutch and tranny problems.

I have had my Raptor for about two weeks and have about 7 or 8 hours on it. No probs so far. Knock on wood, but I agree with sneves. Some beat their quads to deaf, they try to imitate pros racers and in my opinion their is no need for that. These are stock quads, the stock frame, etc are no where near the strength of aftermarket parts of those pro quads. Think about it, if everything(frame, clutch etc..) on a stock quad was built like the pro quads there will not be a demand for aftermarket parts. The frame, clutch, tranny, tires, etc. were never meant to be beat up constantly. So I guess if you ride it like you stole it, more than likely it will end up beaten up like it was stolen. Peace

Ive had mine since February with about 30hrs and no problems. well i did bend a stock upper a-arm but i dont know if i can blame that on a factory defect or just a bad landing. either way it could use stronger a-arms but that is minor. I love it.

No problems here, ridden several times...couldnt even guess hours. Had to adjust the clutch and a bit of crash induced scratches. Only thing out of the ordinary was the steering stem nut was a bit loose, tightened and no further trouble out of it. Purchased in March

I have serial number 133 and have owned it since Sept. I have over 100 hours at least, and have not had one single problem ! I think Yamaha has done a great job for a first year quad. If there is a problem with second gear so be it. I'll have it ripped apart in no time and have a new gear in its place, and be back doing what i enjoy, riding my Raptor.

I have had mine for 6, going on 7 months and I have not the the slightest problem except for the god forsaken stock tires. They could be punctured by sharp blades of grass. Good thing I purchased some better ones. Other than that it has run flawless.
