Alright guys.I finnally talked my dad into letting me shave the 300ex fenders. Both sides are cracked.I am going to shave them tommorow before he changes his mind.

I am going to use our jig saw and then sand it down.I already marked where I want to cut it with electrical tape.

I am going to look around for pics of 300ex's and found a bunch.I wanted to find a pic of them shaved on a 97 ex.If U guys have any pics at all,or tips. Then please reply. Thanks

Here, try this. I took mine and cleaned the hell out of them. Taped them the way I wanted and got a "FINE-TOOTHED" hack-saw blade. With the blade only and a pair of gloves, I started to cut. It is slow, but this way you have complete control over where you are cutting, whereas with a jigsaw it is easy to get out of line. Mine turned out great. All I had to do was sand and put some light gloss paint where the sanding was. I was very happy with mine. The only thing I regret, was that I cut them completely off. Now that I think about, I should have kept an inch or two of a flare. I still get a lot of comments on the custom-cut job. Any questions, let me know. Let us know how it turned out. GOOD LUCK!

AL300EX, hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did the oil cooler kit cost? and in your opinion is it worth it/does it help?

I haven't done it yet.today hasn't been a good day for it.I masked it off last night.I am going to do it like al300ex did it.

I know all the 250x and 300ex plastics are the same.I wanted to see how it would look before I did it though.like the same color combo.

I am going to do it tonight though.

I am also going to add a ac swingarm skid, renthals,dg bumper, and maybe some nerfs, and get some new brake pads.

Hey al300ex how do U like the 400ex carb? That is one nice 300ex!

The oil cooler cost 95.00 dollars from F.S.T.(814)842-6159, They were the hardest company in the world to get in touch with! They never answer the phone. It is working great so far, but ive only got about an hour of ride time on it.The 400 carb also works great, it bolts right up, and my 330 starts up quicker than it ever has before.

I cut them.It turned out great.

I used a dremel,hacksaw,sand paper,tape measure,marker.

I took some pics of the shock mount conversion.I then took a pic of the plastic shaved.I will clean it up real good tommorow and take a pic in the day light.

I left 2 1/2 inches of flare. The hardest part was gettin both sides to match.
